Judge M. Kay DuBree Designated Chair
of Minor Court Rules Committee

HARRISBURG, August 7, 2006 - The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania today announced the designation of Magisterial District Judge M. Kay DuBree as chair of the Minor Court Rules Committee.

Judge DuBree, of Bucks County, assumes the position of chair beginning August 9.

As chair, Judge DuBree will preside over committee meetings, set priorities for the group's agenda, and represent the committee in dealings with other court and non-court agencies.

The Minor Court Rules Committee examines and evaluates the rules and standards regarding the conduct of magisterial district judges and their offices. It also recommends new rules and amendments to existing rules of civil procedure for magisterial district judges to the Supreme Court.

The committee is comprised of eight members who serve terms of three years: seven appointed and one ex-officio district court administrator representing the Pennsylvania Association of Court Management. Members may serve a maximum of two full terms.
