PRESS RELEASE
David Kutz Appointed Director of Human Resources HARRISBURG, July 2, 2007 - David Kutz, a Cumberland County native and 24-year veteran of state government has been appointed as the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts' (AOPC) Director of Human Resources-a position vacated when long-time director David Frankforter retired earlier this month. "We are fortunate to have a seasoned veteran like Dave already on our management team, ready to step up," said Court Administrator of Pennsylvania Zygmont A. Pines. "Dave's dedication, commitment and extensive experience fully qualify him to lead Human Resources for the AOPC in the years ahead." Hired by the AOPC in December 1989 as a retirement/benefits counselor, Kutz was promoted to Senior Benefits Counselor in 1992, Assistant Manager of Human Resources in 1997 and Assistant Director of Human Resources in 2001. "Through the years as the agency has rapidly grown, Dave has been instrumental in helping the AOPC's Human Resources Department take a greater role in effective, professional human resource policy development and program administration," Pines said. Prior to joining the AOPC, Kutz worked for the Pennsylvania Treasury Department as supervisor for audits of the Public School and State Employees' Retirement Systems. Kutz graduated from Penn State in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in administrative management. The AOPC is the administrative agent for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, which has constitutional responsibility not only as the Commonwealth's court of last resort, but also as the administrative leader of more than 1,000 jurists, 900 state court staff and thousands of county court staff, row officers and their employees. # # # |
