Judge Thomas G. Miller Appointed
to Minor Court Rules Committee

HARRISBURG, October 29, 2007 - The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania today announced the appointment of Magisterial District Judge Thomas G. Miller to the Minor Court Rules Committee.

Judge Miller, of Allegheny County, will serve for a term expiring Aug. 28, 2010.

The Minor Court Rules Committee examines and evaluates the rules and standards regarding the conduct of magisterial district judges and their offices. It also recommends new rules and amendments to existing rules of civil procedure for magisterial district judges to the Supreme Court.

The committee is comprised of eight members who serve terms of three years: seven appointed and one ex-officio district court administrator representing the Pennsylvania Association of Court Management. Members may serve a maximum of two full terms.
