VERSION 4 Informational 4.14 March 5, 2001 Page 1 of 2 RULES OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ARE REORGANIZED The Court has ordered, effective April 1, 2001, the reorganization and renumbering of the Rules of Criminal Procedure and adopted correlative amendments to a number of rules. With this reorganization and renumbering, the rules are presented in a more logical fashion that more accurately reflects the movement of a criminal case through the criminal justice system, thereby making the rules easier to follow to the conclusion of a criminal proceeding. Within the next few weeks, we will be issuing either a laser fax Or we will be mailing a derivation and a disposition table that was Prepared by the Criminal Procedural Rules Committee. The disposition table lists the former rule numbers in numerical order and cross-references to the new rule. For example: Former Rule 4001 New Rule 520 4002 523 4003 524 The derivation table lists the new rules in numerical order and cross-references to the former rule.
