VERSION 3 MODIFICATION #17 December 20, 1996 Page 1 of 2 SERVER FEES CAN BE ASSIGNED AND REFERRED TO COUNTY BEFORE PAYMENT IS RECORDED Effective December 20, 1996, when you enter a Civil, Landlord/Tenant, or Out-of-District Execution case, you will be able to record the server fees before you enter the miscellaneous payment. After you record the case entry and the remitter in these three types of case, the Server Fees Entry screen will display. You need to record Server Fee amount, and you may assign server fees, or refer the server to the County before you take the payment. Then, when you reach the Miscellaneous Payment Entry screen, you will see the "Serving Cost" amount already filled in for you; however, you still have to record the Constable Education amount. (If your case does not require server fees, you may press ENTER to bypass the Server Fee Entry Screen.) ADDED INFORMATION ON NOTICE OF BAIL FORFEITURE The Notice of Bail Forfeiture (Form AOPC 414A3-96) has been modified to show additional information. The form will now show the security type for each surety that posted bail on the case. The form will display up to five security types that can be used by the surety(ies) to post bail. Another change to the Notice of Bail Forfeiture form is the addition of three statements with check boxes. The statements apply to straight bail, or cash percentage bail, or unsecured bail. Now, the system will display an X within the check box of the applicable statement and fill in the appropriate amount. For Straight bail: "A monetary condition of bail has been set and posted in the above captioned case in the amount of $XXXX.XX." For Unsecured bail: "The defendant has been released on unsecured bond in the amount of $XXXX.XX and may be liable for the full amount of $XXXX.XX." For Percentage Cash bail: "A monetary condition of bail has been set at $XXXX.XX/XX%. $XXXX.XX has been posted."
