This feature allows you To quickly locate a previously recorded search warrant number from the search warrant selection pop-up window without using to scroll through a long list. To use this feature, first access the search warrant selection pop-up window, either by choosing option number 7 (Search Warrant) on the Miscellaneous Docket Menu, or by pressing on the Search Warrant Entry screen (option 8 on the Actions Menu) within a criminal case. The search warrant selection pop-up window will appear and the cursor will default to the Position to Warrant Number field. To search by warrant number, type as much of the warrant number as you know, being careful to include spaces and hyphens exactly as they appeared when the search warrant was first recorded in the system. Alternatively, you may type only the first one or two characters of the search warrant number, press , and use to continue scrolling through the list until you find the correct number. To search by docket number instead of warrant number, press until the cursor is positioned in the Docket Number field. Type the docket number of the miscellaneous docket case associated with the search warrant and press . Once you have located the correct number, place an X next to the search warrant you want to select and continue processing as usual.
