                    DOCKET TRANSCRIPT IN SUMMARY CASES


     When a Docket Transcript (AOPC 501A-99) is printed for a summary 
case, the system will no longer print an "X" in the "No" box in blocks 
34, 35, and 36.  These Yes and No boxes will be blank.  The District 
Justice can now indicate on the Docket Transcript whether the defendant 
has been advised of right to apply for counsel, has requested a public 
defender, or has been provided with an application for a public 
defender.

     This change does not affect the Docket Transcript in Criminal Court 
cases.
