VERSION 4 Modification 4.20 June 12, 2000 Page 1 of 1 FACSIMILE SIGNATURE IN LIEU OF ORIGINAL SIGNATURE AND SUBPOENAS The Subpoena (AOPC 604 and AOPC A605) has been removed from the list of forms for which a District Justice can use a facsimile signature in lieu of an original signature. This was necessary because Pa.R.C.P.D.J. 113 provides in part that "[a]n original signature shall be required on all...subpoenas...". Please note that the Minor Court Rules Committee has informed the AOPC that it will consider recommending to the Supreme Court that Rule 113 be amended to permit the facsimile signature on the subpoena.
