You will no longer view or restore cases from the Electronic Case menu. A case is archived 18 to 24 months after a disposition is recorded and the case balance is $0. Viewing an archived case allows you to review a case without changing any information. Restoring an archived case allows you to make changes to the archived case. VIEW AN ARCHIVED CASE 1. From the Case Processing screen, type 2 (Select an Existing Case) and press . 2. From the Previous Case Search screen, type the docket number of the archived case you want to view and press . 3. The error message, CSE0258 - CASE HAS BEEN ARCHIVED, and the =View Archived Case key will appear on the bottom of the screen. To view the archived case, press . It may take several minutes for the system to retrieve the case. 4. The Archive Inquiry menu will appear. From this screen, you may view details of the archived case including case profile, docket inquiry, disposition and sentencing information, payment information, allocation of funds, bail information if applicable, complaint/citation information, charges, interested parties, and case notes. Type the number corresponding to the type of information you want to view in the Selection field and press . 5. Restored cases will retain their original archive date. Restored cases with old archive dates are re-archived twice per year.
