The Committee of Evidence was established by the Supreme Court on September 8, 1998, as a means to assist and advise the Court both in the preparation, adoption, promulgation and revision of rules of evidence governing proceedings in Pennsylvania courts and on the implementation of the Judiciary Article of Pennsylvania's constitution as it relates to the rules of evidence. The committee's establishment is effective October 1, 1998.
