The Supreme Court is assisted in the administration of the Pennsylvania court system by many boards, committees and commissions, consisting of more than 180 appointed, unpaid lawyers and non-lawyers. The panels have a wide range of functions. Some make recommendations to the court for amendments, revisions or simplification of court procedural rules. Others regulate the practice of law, oversee continuing legal education for lawyers and administer funds to assist individuals unable to pay for legal services. Still others advise on keeping the courts free of bias and discrimination and on long-range planning.

The Supreme Court welcomes interest from members of the public in serving on these advisory bodies. Should you wish to serve, please review the descriptions of the boards, committees and commissions and consult the application instructions of the panel that interests you.
