NOTICE TO INDIVIDUALS RETRIEVING THE MDJS CRIMINAL CASE FILE

The Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts is pleased to announce that the Supreme Court has adopted the Electronic Case Records Public Access Policy of the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania.  This policy standardizes the availability of Magisterial District Judge System (MDJS), Common Pleas Criminal Court Case Management System (CPCMS), and Pennsylvania Appellate Case Management System (PACMS) electronic case information to the public.

The policy was published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin on December 2, 2006, and a copy is posted in the public access area of the Pennsylvania’s Judiciary Web Site located at: www.courts.state.pa.us

Effective January 1, 2007, the policy provides that “street address” information in electronic case records (i.e., via bulk downloads) will no longer be available to the public.  Please be advised that this change will impact the MDJS electronic criminal case information that you receive in bulk beginning January 1st.

If you wish to continue receiving MDJS electronic criminal case information in bulk, you do not need to take any additional action.  However, if you wish to cancel your subscription to this service, please send a letter to Nick Melnick at the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, 5035 Ritter Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, and we will send you a refund if applicable.
